If You Were Me, I’d Be You

Posted in Just plain ole' fun by seanclark85 on January 22, 2009

“If I Were A Boy” was recently being blasted in my car because my friend, who’s a female decided to turn it up really loud.  I actually got to listen to the lyrics and you know what?  Some of it made sense.  I do a lot of that, maybe not to that extent but to a degree.   However, what would happen if “I Were a Girl” was to come out.  What would be some of the points emphasized by men, about women?  Would it be about money-grubbin’, or even shallow points like not cooking, not putting out, and not being supportive.  What do you think some men would say about you, ladies?

u kno, i don’t really foresee a “rebuttal” song coming out this outside of usher’s “trading places”.

to be perfectly honest, (altho i don’t like “if i were a boy”) i don’t think that “if i were a girl” would go as hard as bey’s song. at first listen, i did like usher’s “trading places” but now (without sounding discriminatory or offensive) i think it sounds kinda gay. in fact, it was a dude that pointed this out to me.

if there were to be a “if i were a girl” i don’t think it would be received too well…

    good post tho!
